We teach the SABOD (previously known as SADTA) syllabus - Creative to Grade 12. Modern Dance can be defined as a form of contemporary, theatrical and concert dance employing a special technique for developing the use of the entire body in movements expressive of abstract ideas. This form of dance is strongly influenced by ballet, contemporary and jazz.
We teach the SABOD (previously known as SADTA) syllabus - Step Up to Level 6. Hip Hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States.
In these one hour intensive stretching classes we focus on relaxing whilst improving our range of motion and flexibility. I move around during the class correcting your form and gently helping you to reach your personal best. The benefits of stretching are truly endless (read more about the benefits here) . People of all ages (above 13), genders and personal abilities are welcome to join this class.
In these one hour classes we start with a yoga inspired warm-up, proceed to learning a short routine (hip hop or modern dance inspired) and end with stretching. These classes are designed for those who would like to break a sweat whilst having fun. You do not require previous dancing experience for this class and age is just a number!
In these classes I combine my experience with yoga, dance, animal flow, parkour, natural movement and old fashioned gym training to give you a very effective alternative to the gym. In these classes we move at your own pace, keep things interesting and give you loads of personal attention so that you may progress to become the best version of yourself!
These classes are private lessons that I offer to those individuals or couples who would like to learn how to dance socially.
These private lessons are specifically catered to your needs. You can choose to do a traditional wedding dance, change things up a little by doing a more advanced routine or even a different style like the Tango.
